Install the test app
Install TrustMe Sandbox Simulator on Android (Firebase App Tester) or iOS (TestFlight).
Testers install TrustMe Sandbox Simulator from an invitation sent to the address given in the access request. The procedure depends on the platform.
Android
- Testers need a Google account. It does not have to be a Gmail account: you can create one with any email address by choosing “Use my current email address instead” on the Google sign-up page.
- Once the invitation is sent, the tester receives the full Firebase procedure and an activation link at the provided email address.
- The procedure must be followed directly from the Android device where the app will be installed. Opening the link on a computer does not complete the setup.
- As part of this procedure, register the Google account on the smartphone and install the Firebase “App Tester” application (by direct download, not via Google Play).
- Once App Tester is installed and configured with the Google account, open the distribution channel the tester was invited to (TrustMe Sandbox Simulator), then download and test the app.
iOS
- Testers provide the email address linked to their Apple account.
- Download the TestFlight application from the App Store.
- Once the invitation is sent, the tester receives a TestFlight link at the provided email address.
- Open this link on the iOS device where the app will be installed.
- From TestFlight, select TrustMe Sandbox Simulator to download, install and test it.
Important notes
The Sandbox Simulator environment differs from Production: security rules are relaxed to facilitate testing and demonstrations.
It is a test and demo environment where updates are deployed regularly. It may include beta features and may therefore experience service interruptions or a lower quality of service than Production.
