Check TrustMe trial terms and conditions

Terms applying to the free one-month Check TrustMe trial in production.

These terms govern the free Check TrustMe trial in production (“the trial”), offered by A3BC GROUP (“A3BC”). By ticking the box in the access request, you accept them, for yourself and for the legal entity you represent (“the Customer”).

1. Purpose

Check TrustMe is a web interface that lets the verifiers designated by the Customer check people’s identity using the credentials those people share from their TrustMe app. The trial lets the Customer evaluate the service in real-world conditions, without integrating it with its systems.

2. Duration

The trial lasts one (1) month from the opening of access. It is not tacitly renewed. At the end of that period, A3BC deactivates the organisation’s accounts, unless the parties have signed a contract to continue the service.

3. Free of charge

The trial is free. It creates no commitment to buy or subscribe.

4. Production environment

The trial takes place on the Check TrustMe production environment. Checks performed during the trial therefore concern real people and real data, and are treated as such: the Customer ensures compliance with the regulations that apply to these checks.

5. Opening access and accounts

  • A3BC reviews the request, opens the Customer’s organisation, then sends an invitation to each email address given in the request. A3BC may refuse or limit a request.
  • Each user is given a profile (Leader, Leader + History, Operator or Operator + History): the Leader manages accounts, the Operator verifies identities and the History profiles access the verification history. The Customer designates at least one Leader user, who then manages the other accounts.
  • Accounts are personal or tied to a designated email address. The Customer is responsible for how they are used, for keeping credentials confidential and for deleting accounts that are no longer needed. It reports any compromise to A3BC without delay.

6. Permitted use

The Customer uses Check TrustMe only to check the identity of people present in front of the verifier, as part of its site or construction-site access or recruitment checks. It is forbidden to:

  • check a person who has not given consent in the TrustMe app;
  • use the service for other purposes, in particular surveillance or profiling of individuals;
  • try to bypass security measures, access other organisations’ data or disrupt the service;
  • transfer or share accounts outside the Customer’s organisation.

7. Personal data

  • The information in the request (first name, last name, entity, email address, description of the need, users’ email addresses, profiles and tags) is processed by A3BC to review the request, open and administer access and provide support during the trial. It is not used for other purposes without your agreement.
  • For the people checked, the data shown to the verifier is what those people chose to share. Verifications are logged; the Customer can export the history for the last 30 days from a History profile.
  • The Customer is responsible for informing the people it checks and for the purpose of its checks. The terms of data processing on its behalf are set out in the documents provided when access is opened.
  • The Customer makes sure it has informed the designated users that their email address is shared with A3BC.
  • The rights provided by the applicable regulations are described in the personal data protection policy.

8. Availability and support

The service is provided during the trial with no service-level commitment: A3BC uses reasonable means to keep it available but does not guarantee continuous availability or the absence of errors. Support is provided at support@trustmeid.io. The Customer keeps its own access-control procedures: Check TrustMe is an aid to the verifier’s decision, and the verifier remains responsible for the visual comparison and for the decision to allow access.

9. End of the trial and deletion

At the end of the trial, or at the Customer’s request, A3BC deactivates the accounts. The organisation’s data is then deleted or anonymised, unless the law requires it to be kept. Before that date the Customer retrieves the history reports it needs.

10. Intellectual property

The trial gives the Customer a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Check TrustMe, for the duration of the trial and for the purposes described above. No other intellectual property right is assigned.

11. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, A3BC is not liable for indirect damage resulting from the trial, from the Customer’s or its users’ use of the service, or for access decisions made by verifiers. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Suspension and changes

A3BC may suspend or close access at any time, in particular if these terms are not respected. A3BC may change these terms; the applicable version is the one published on this page on the date of your request.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. The parties will try to settle any dispute amicably; failing that, it will be brought before the Paris court. For any question, write to contact@a3bc.io.
